The MARS laboratory welcomes and promotes reseasch collaboration with other faculty and industry on topics related to our core areas of expertise in robotics, manufacturing, mcirosystems, automation and controls and in utilization of the extensive available resources (see resources page). We have through the years collaborated with US and international researchers in both advanced and applied research activities. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to contact Dr. Shiakolas either through a phone call or email.

Applicants to the MAE department with interest in Robotics, Manufacturing, MicroSystems, Automation and Controls both in advanced theoretical and applied research are encouraged to submit via email (shiakolas@uta.edu), an application with a statement of research interests, past experience and a copy of their resume to Dr. Shiakolas. If you also have any publications, include them in your submission. The application will be evaluated and successful candidates will be contacted.

Note that for general departmental assistantships, students should contact the MAE department directly.
